Thinking of you as you're gone this day.
The pain that we feel will never fade away.
As our eyes fill with tears and make us cry,
We never knew this would be our final goodbye.
Even though you have left us and now that you're gone,
The memories of you will always live on.
If God could give us our own choice,
We'd wish just once we could still hear your voice.
As days go by, we still cry and dearly miss you,
With emptiness we feel what we're going through.
Letting go is never easy as we all know.
Now you're an angel watching over us wherever we go.
Every time we think of you, pain is what we feel,
'Cause losing you this moment still does not seem real.
As we sit and think of you, it makes us start to cry,
Knowing you have gone away up into the sky.
Even though you have gone away to a better place,
We will always be missing you and the smiles on your face.
You will always be with us close within our heart,
This isn't really goodbye for us; it's just that we must part.
You fought so hard and tried your best,
No more pain for you as we now lay you down to rest.
As we all know we will meet again someday,
With your welcoming arms when we enter our way.
