Granvil Calhoun Jr., born April 6, 1947 passed away on July 18, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida after a courageous batter with lung disease. He is survived by his wife, Bertha J. Calhoun, his 3 children, Alicia M. Calhoun, Tiffany Calhoun-Sheffield (Alonzo, deceased), and Travis L. Calhoun (Honassah), and his grandchildren, Aries T. Sheffield and Ayshia T. Sheffield. He is also survived by his brothers: Charles Calhoun (Hun Su), Larry Calhoun (Penny), and Israel Calhoun (Juanda), sisters: Irma Fudge-Stephens (Ralph) and Marilyn Medina (Virgilio), and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 4PM-7PM at the mortuary. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 2PM in the Fort Caroline Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 9358 Fort Caroline Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
