Wallace Wycliffe Stewart, age 77, passed away on January 5, 2026, in Jacksonville,

Florida. He was born in Trinidad and Tobago, where he spent his early years before building

a life marked by hard work, dedication, and loyalty.

Wallace attended Tunapuna EC School and then completed his education at Hillview

College. He began his professional career in the late 1960s as a customs officer in Trinidad.

In the early 1970s, he emigrated to Canada, where he worked for several years in the

railway system. His professional journey later brought him to New York City, where he was

employed by Consolidated Edison (Con Edison). Wallace retired in 2016, concluding a long

and dependable career defined by commitment and perseverance.

Above all, Wallace was known as a loyal friend—steadfast, dependable, and deeply valued

by those who knew him. He formed lasting bonds throughout his life and across countries,

leaving a meaningful impression on family, friends, and colleagues alike.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wycliffe Graves, and his mother, Hyacinth

Collymore.

Wallace Wycliffe Stewart will be remembered with respect, gratitude, and affection by all

who had the privilege of knowing him.

Celebration of Life for Wallace Stewart will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 12NOON in the A.B. Coleman Memorial Chapel, 5660 Moncrief Road, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12PM-2PM at the mortuary.
