Rev. Jimmie Lee Pannell Obituary

Reverend Jimmie Lee Pannell was born November 18th, 1936 to Edward Pannell and Julia Thigpen in Red Jacket, Virginia. He met and married Willie Mae Dixon in 1973. He was employed by Jacksonville Transit Authority where he retired after many years of service. He was an active member of Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal until he heeded the calling to serve as the Pastor of St. Luke's Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pannell, his mother, Julia Thigpen, and his son, Larry Pannell. He leaves to cherish memory: His wife, Willie Mae Pannell; his children: Linda Renee Smith, married to Michael Jerome Smith, Jerome Edward Pannell, married to Deborah Ann Pannell, Mark Anthony Pannell, Michael Jermaine Pannell, married to Shantani LaKelle Pannell, and Jimmie Lee Pannell; his grandchildren: Timothy Lee Pannell, married to Zora Marie Pannell, Jarese Shawnt'e Pannell, Unique Artilla Pannell, Jeberia Alexus Pannell, Marqueena Renee Pannell, Mary Means, Kiara Shari Pannell, Adyn Pannell, Jimetrious LaTre Pannell, and Jamari Lee Pannell; and his great-grandchildren: Timothy Lee Pannell II, Savannah Vivienne Pannell, Aaliyah Pannell, Avery Pannell, and Latavion Means. The Reverend will also be fondly remembered in the hearts of a host of other relatives and friends.
