Obituary of Charlie Lee Denmark Jr

Charlie Lee Denmark Jr. passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the age of 55 after a brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer. The world has lost a great son, brother, husband, father and uncle. Charlie was born February 20, 1965, in Americus, GA to the parents of Thelma and Charlie Denmark Sr. He was the only boy of five siblings. He received his education in the Duval County Public Schools. He met his loving wife Jennifer Katherine Denmark, a Registered Nurse, in October 1996. They married February 11, 1998. Charlie was an active member in his community neighborhood and local bars. He loved to sing Karaoke to his favorite country artists and had a smile that could light up any room he walked in. His quick wit, charm, impish smile and sense of humor brought him 11 children to love and cherish. Charlie lived 1000 years in the 55 calendar years that we had with him. He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with his family, friends, children and grandchildren. His favorite hobby was fishing, no matter how sick or tired he felt he would still make a way to go fishing. He wrote his own rules, and when life got messy, he rolled up his sleeves and was ready to do it all over again. Charlie was preceded in death by his youngest sister Sherrie Staria Matthews. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jennifer Denmark; his children Alexis Edwards, Crystal and Kirk Watson, Charlie Denmark III, Ricky Clover Jr., Jasmine Denmark, Amber Denmark, Antjuan Sanders, Gabriel Denmark, Trinity Barron, Destiny Denmark, Sherrie Denmark; his grandchildren Antonio Denmark, Amarius Spigner, Malachi Denmark, Mariah Denmark, J'juan Calvy Jr.; his parents Thelma Dodson, Joseph Dodson, Charlie Denmark Sr.; his sisters Carlene Denmark, Caroline Denmark, and Linda Denmark; his nieces, nephews, and a host of aunts, cousins and uncles.
