Mr. Russell, Jr. was born March 13, 1927 in Tifton, GA. He is the son of the late James and the late Maggie (Moss) Russell, Sr..
He served in the Navy from 08-07-1945 to 05-20-1946. Bishop James Russell, Jr. transitioned on March 5, 2018. He is survived by 5 children and many other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 12, 2018, 11:30 A.M. at the Church of God Sanctuary of Praise. Visitation will be held Sunday at the mortuary from 4-7PM. Interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to: A. B. Coleman Mortuary, 5660 Moncrief Rd., (904) 768-0507, Arlene B. Coleman, FDIC.
