Obituary of Debra Lynn Pace

It is with great sadness that family and friends let you know of the death of Debra Lynn Pace (1957 - 2021) of Jacksonville, Florida. Debra passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 after a courageous battle with a rare, aggressive cancer surrounded by loved ones who will honor her life by continuing to live life to the fullest. Debra was born in Belleville, Illinois and grew up in Aiea, Hawaii, where she obtained her love of the ocean and sailing. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii and then moved to the mainland to raise her two beloved children. Debra's parents, Addison and Edith Pace, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Tamara (Tom) Hatcher and Andrew Myers, and her grandchildren, Zachery and Emily, along with her brother Brian (Pamela) Pace, niece, Luisa, nephew, Noah, and of course her dear friends/"chosen sisters" Marilyn Lehman and Roxie Thoms. The simplest pleasures in life brought Debra great pleasure. An evening playing games with friends or tending to her garden were great joys for her. She loved to travel and would have lived on cruise ships if she could have. It is her spirit we hope will travel to its hearts delight now that she is free. She was also an active participant in the Red Hats society. A celebration of life service will be held sometime in early 2022.
