Doris and I (and my husband Jim) taught together at duPont and Mandarin High School. She was always kind and an inspiration to her students as well as the faculty. Her strong faith is a help to us all. May your memories help to fill the empty spaces her loss leaves. The joy of the Lord will be your strength. Miss Doris was a member of my BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) group a few years ago. Oh how I grew to love her!! She always had that sweet smile and gentle voice -- and underneath that an incredible strength! Doris loved studying God's Word with her friends, and she knew that God was her strength and Savior. She also loved her family and prayed continually for God to surround them with His care. I will attend BSF next week and my heart will be sad that I won't see Doris sitting there....but I will smile because I know that she is with her Lord and having the best Bible study she's ever had!!
