Karl, words can't describe how awesome you were! I feel so honored to have known you and shared in laughter with you and Elyana. Thanks for always welcoming us into your home and making all of our sorority sisters feel so welcomed. You were definitely a part of us. I pray that God welcomes you into his glory and that you rest in peace. My condolences to his family, son, partner and friends.

Although i have known you for 5 years, i feel like we knew eachother before that. I am still in disbelief that my friend is gone. As each day passes i look over to your desk and climb onto mine to see if you are there (like i always had to in order to get your attention) in your low rider chair. All i see are flowers and notes left by some of us.
I am going to miss our random thoughts blurted out (mainly mine) and you giving me that look telling me to be quiet. Going to miss someone telling me how amazing my baking is lol and talking to someone who ACTUALLY knows what carne asada fries are. Going to miss our talks about how amazing the Dallas Cowboys are :)
To Mr. and Mrs. Harrel, Karl was an amazing person and friend. My sincerest condolences go to you and also his son and girlfriend. I pray that you find peace in the coming months as we all learn to continue without him here.
Rest in Paradise.....until we meet again.

Today was a sad day friend but one thing is for sure you are in a safe place. I still come and check on you at your desk in the mornings although your physically not here. I will always remember the laughs and jokes we shared. This is not the end. :) I will continue the tradition as always. Oh yeah I will be gone for a little while so don't hesitate to watch over me a little.
Much Love from your friend and Battle.

When I think about high school, you are one of my favorite classmates. You were kind, funny, and Oh so smart! Classes were less of a drag...Thankful we were able to catch up a couple of years ago and my last memory of you is how you didn’t change all these years: kind, funny & of course brilliant. Such a heart break you had to leave this world so early, dear friend. You will be missed.

Lee, you were like a brother for many years. I'm so glad we caught up just a few years ago. Thank you for always playing pick-up basketball and football wars; supporting my efforts in the lifting community, and thanks for the great food from Rally's.
I'll give you the recipe for the steroid popsicles that you asked in our senior yearbook when I see you again. Until then, it's my secret.
Thank you, brother.

Karl, I'm still shocked by this disheartening news man. I just want you to know how integral you were to who I am as a person today, even though we haven't seen each other in person since early 2000s. Thank you for teaching me right from wrong, the importance of integrity and how to always keep a sense of humor in times of despair. God bless you and your family. You're officially a "fighting saint" my friend.

Lee,
You will be missed friend. I was stunned by the news of your passing. I am sorry that I can’t make your service, but wanted to leave a few words here. Today was the 20th anniversary of our graduation from high school, and time has flown by so quickly. This life we live is only temporary. Until we meet again! Prayers up to you homie. Wishing your family all the best through this rough time.
Your friend,

My sincerest sympathies to Karl's family and loved ones. I didn't get to work with Karl as much as I would have liked but every time I passed him in the hall or had a meeting with him, he was quick to joke and laugh, with that deep booming voice, and made the day every bit as much brighter. I hope you all find the strength to joke and laugh again soon, as I'm sure Karl would have wanted.

I am in such a surreal state right now that this is still hard for me to digest. I have no words other than to say that I pray that the Holy Spirit wraps His loving arms of comfort and strength around mom, his son, and all the family members at this time of understandable sorrow. I admired this young man for being an example of what a good black man is; and what other young black men should aspire to be.
God bless all of you,
Sis. Brenda J. Harris aka Ms. B
